newspaper to Guy Poran, President of Pixel
Software Technologies, on his visit to Uruguay
(October 27, 2002):
“(...) Low costs and talent. On the
other hand the software business leader,
Guy Poran, met with representatives from
five companies and inquired about 6 software
development projects from ORT University
students. Poran told El Observador that
he found very talented and highly motivated
software engineers. “The cost of professional
labor is very low compared to Israel, the
US and Europe. There is a real opportunity
to combine the experience in technology
export and investment ability of Israeli
companies with the low labor costs of Uruguayan
companies”, he explained.
The executive took as an example the talented
team of the Uruguayan company Before. “One
of my companies, Pixel Software Technologies,
provides technology and content for interactive
television and cellular phones games. I
want Before to develop game contents for
the Hispanic culture that are compatible
with our technological platform to sell
to Hispanic clients in the US and in Latin
America" he said.
Agreement for exclusive distribution of
Reducativa (Educatenet) for Latin America
and Spain In October 2002 Before reached
and agreement with ITP Soft, an Israeli
multinational company, for the exclusive
distribution rights of its product Reducativa
(Educatenet) in the Latin American and Spanish
markets. ITP Soft has over 10 years experience
in educational software sales in Latin America.
